Upon arrival at the hotel, they'll present you with a list of available excursions you can book. You might also come across individuals offering private beachside excursions, which are often more affordable than booking through the hotel. However, there are some safety concerns about these options. Some tours bundle multiple activities in a single day, and I typically opt for 1-2 excursions per trip since they can be a few hours long and could cut into your relaxation time at the hotel. When staying at an all-inclusive resort, the goal is usually to enjoy the amenities the hotel offers.

Prepare to get a little messy as you ride buggies through the mud, but fear not because you'll have the chance to clean up at one of Punta Cana's most beautiful beaches. While this tour typically includes two additional stops, we coordinated to just stay at Macao Beach and enjoy a special lunch prepared exclusively for our group.

We were picked up and dropped off at the resort for a full-day tour. We sailed to Saona Island on a catamaran, enjoying the peaceful views on the way. Once on the island, we had access to an open bar and restaurant. Snorkeling was an option, but we decided to skip it as the Dominican Republic doesn't have many corals. We spent the day enjoying the white sandy beaches and the beautiful blue waters around the island.

My first hot stone massage was amazing, and I'll definitely do it again. The experience was very soothing and a perfect start to my vacation. Initially, I was worried about the stones being too hot, but the masseuse ensured the temperature was just right before starting.
