It's not a summer trip if you don't pack swimwear! I like to take a swimsuit for each day I will be getting in the water that way I don't have to worry about washing. These were my favorites pieces for this summer! I loved the one-pieces— they're perfect for those days you want a little more coverage and can be very versatile. You can use them as bodysuits to layer with shorts or skirts for either a day of adventure or lounging by the pool or beach.
Cover-ups are the most practical yet stylish outfit options for pool and beach days, especially on tropical vacations. I love the sheer wrap skirts to lounge around and are easy to remove when going in for another dip. I usually take 3-4 cover-ups depending on how long the stay will be.
Sun Dresses & Rompers || For the evenings, I packed a couple of sundress dresses and rompers. They are easy to throw on and don't take up too much space in your luggage.
Maxi Dresses || Maxi dresses are a great option! They're comfortable and can work for many occasions during the day or night.
Skirts || I love Maxi skirts because you can dress them up with a cute pair of heels or dress them down by layering with a bikini and sandals.
Crop Tops & Shorts || Easy pieces to mix and match. Go for comfortable and airy lightweight fabrics.
Activewear || If you plan on participating in active activities or visiting the gym at the resort, pack an activewear outfit.
Sandals + Heels || You'll want a pair of sandals for the beach and pool, and comfortable heels for the evening. Especially if you have to walk a lot inside the resort.
Sneakers || Only necessary if you plan to engage in activities like zip-lining, hiking, or other active excursions.
Besides the basic toiletries like soap, shampoo & conditioner, toothbrush/toothpaste, and deodorant, I recommend you bring the following products to protect and replenish your hair and skin from sun damage.
Face & Body Sunscreen || Most important item on the list! Always wear sunscreen on your face and body.
Moroccanoil Protect & Prevent Hair Spray || Lifesaver! Or should I say Hairsaver! Between the sun, pool, and beach, my hair becomes extremely brittle and frizzy. This spray kept my hair smooth and hydrated throughout the whole trip. Plus, it smells great!
Aloe Vera Gel || Your BFF after a sunburn!
Face & Body Moisturizer || It's important to put on moisturizer after sun exposure to keep your face and body hydrated.
Nature's Way Activated Charcoal || It's more common than not to experience some tummy issues while traveling to different countries where the food preparation might be different than your body is accustom to. Active Charcoal will help remove any toxins or bacteria from your system.
